Why The Walking Dead Could Be One Of The Hidden Gems Of 2018

To say I am a huge Walking Dead fan is an understatement. I have read all of the comic books so far, I enjoy the TV show and I have beaten the first two episodes of the TellTale Walking Dead games (only beat the third once) at least 4 times each on different consoles.

With that being said, I am very interested in the new Walking Dead game that is coming later this year. The people behind Payday, Overkill are the guys who are making this game and from little I have seen of it, it sounds like it could be one of the best and most fun games of the year.

It sounds like they are trying to make the game as much like the show as possible. You will be part of a team of four and your team will need to build a base, search for supplies, do raids on other teams, kill walkers and complete various missions. It sounds like there is going to be a ton to do in The Walking Dead, but your overall objective is to first and foremost survive.

I think that the game sounds really cool. You could be right in the middle of a firefight with an opposing team when suddenly a horde of walkers comes strolling by! Will you run? Will you keep fighting the other team? Will you focus on the walkers? Will you temporarily join forces with the other team to take down the walkers? There are just so many possibilities and I hope that there is some kind of trading mechanic where you can decide to form an alliance with another group instead of just going to war all the time.

There are four different characters and each one has their own abilities, skills, and upgrades. The Walking Dead sounds like it is going to be a blast and it is coming out sometime later this year on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
