Why Is Selecting A Ninja Turtle In Injustice 2 So Awkward?

Why Is Selecting A Ninja Turtle In Injustice 2 So Awkward?

For me Injustice 2 is the best fighting game of 2017 hands down, nothing else came close. It had a great story mode, awesome roster of character and in general just a ton of content. It was a game that I actually bought the season pass for. The last character pack just dropped this week and it gave us all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I am a huge TMNT fan so the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being part of Injustice 2 was awesome for me. Some people were not happy about this as they felt they should have used other DC characters like Beast Boy, Raven and so on. However, I loved the TMNT/Batman crossover that IDW and DC did so being able to play as the Turtles is cool for me.

Now you would think that selecting your favorite Turtle would be easy, wouldn’t you? Maybe you select the Turtle at the character select screen and a little sub menu pops up to allow you to pick which one of the four you want? Maybe you flick the right analog stick in a certain direction to change the Turtle before you even select them?

Nope, that is not how it is done. You have to manually change each loadout in the customize character section. So if you made loadout one use swords, that would be Leo, if you made Loadout 2 use sai that would be Raph and so on. It is a real pain in the butt to do and unless you are level 10, you cannot even have all four Turtles selectable at a time. Ed Boon even had to get on Twitter to show people how to select their favorite Turtle!

One other thing I have to mention is the Multiverse Event that is part of this, Turtle Time. It is a lot of fun and to say I am having a hard time defeating Sub Zero (the final challenge) is an understatement, but while it is challenging it is a lot of fun.

I love Injustice 2 and still think that adding the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a great idea, I just wish they made picking your favorite Turtle less of a pain in the shell!
