What Would A Nintendo 64 Classic Mini Be Like?

Well, Nintendo has already made a mess of the Nintendo NES Classic Mini and the jury is still out on if it will happen with the Super Nintendo one. But many people are looking to 2018 when the much rumored Nintendo 64 Classic Edition could be released. I have been thinking about this and want to share my thoughts on it.

The Controller

One of the funny things about a Nintendo 64 Classic Mini will be the controller. It is going to be as big or even bigger than the console! The Nintendo 64 controller is a funny thing in that you either like it or hate it. I think it is ok, but man that analog stick has aged horribly. So hopefully Nintendo will have figured out a way to make it so the stick does not go really loose.

Also as well as the design of the controller, how many will be included? We got one with the NES, two with the SNES so how about four with the N64? Ok so this is very wishful thinking, but if they could do this and keep it at under 100 bucks, it would be a smash hit. Four players, couch co-op is what the Nintendo 64 was all about and if Nintendo could make this happen out of the box that would be really cool.

The Games

My most wanted games on the Nintendo 64 Classic Mini would be the WCW and the WWF wrestling games…. There is less than zero chance that any of these games would be able to appear on the console and I get that. But what thinking about what games could realistically be on this console I came up with this list.

  • Super Mario 64
  • Mario Kart 64
  • Paper Mario
  • Mario Party 2
  • Yoshi’s Story
  • Mario Tennis
  • Mario Golf
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time
  • Legend Of Zelda Majoras mask
  • Kirby 64
