With all the attention on Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII and the whole world still in love with Fortnite and PUBG, Battlefield V seems to have fallen off many people’s radars.
Battlefield 1 was a smash hit and many gamers preferred its gritty realistic approach to war than the sci-fi setting that Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare provide. Well, Battlefield 1 is about to receive its last DLC update as EA and the folks at Dice are getting ready for Battlefield V to drop later this year.
Battlefield V is coming out towards the end of the year, I would bet on November. I say this because in October we have Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII and Red Dead Redemption 2 to come out in between those two games would be a very risky move for EA indeed, both Black Ops IIII and Red Dead 2 are being hyped already and are two games I have yet to hear anyone say a negative word about.
I expect Battlefield V to feature more of the same ground, air and sea combat. One thing that I really hope to see is a story mode, the story mode in Battlefield V was a bit meh, but with the big rumor being that there is no story at all in Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII, I think this could be Dice’s time to shine with an epic story. Battlefield V is said to be set in World War II (although not confirmed yet) so it has a lot to live up to as last year’s Call Of Duty WWII campaign was excellent.
In doing a little digging for my blog post today guess what I found? EA are toying with (and depending on what source you read already testing) a Battle Royale mode for Battlefield V! Can we go a day without a game announcing that they are interested in adding a Battle Royale mode? To be fair with its large maps and clever use of vehicles, you could argue that Battlefield has all the things necessary to make a great Battle Royale mode.
