Twitch PUBG Tournament Is Making Serious Money For Charity

Twitch PUBG Tournament Is Making Serious Money For Charity

If you like video games, chances are you have heard of the phenomenon that is PUBG (PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds) it has become huge in the world of streaming and with the Xbox One version, I feel it will become even bigger.

Well I love to watch PUBG on Twitch, Twitch and Bluehole Inc are actually doing something really cool and that is putting together a PUBG tournament with some of the biggest Twitch streamers such as Shroud, BdoubleO Lirik, Summit1g and SheriffEli to name just a few.

There will be 64 duos with half being from America and the other half being from different parts of Europe. Twitch and Bluehole Inc are putting up 100 grand each and the charities of the top three will share the prize pool.

Watching competitive PUBG is already a lot of fun, but this tournament with it being so focused on charity appears to have gotten everyone involved in the Christmas spirit and I have been having a blast. It shows that there is far more to Twitch streaming that chicks wearing hardly any clothes playing games and dudes getting angry and cursing every five seconds.

I know it can be hard to know what tournaments to watch as there is so many of them taking place these days. But this is one that I really hope gets some more mainstream attention and if you are reading this after the whole event has taken place, do not just go and look to see who won, go and watch some of the highlights or even the streams of some of the matches as honestly this has been an absolute blast and I hope that it is something Twitch and Bluehole Inc can do on an annual basis.
