One of the games I have been most hyped for in 2018 is Red Dead Redemption 2. The first game, well technically second as before Red Dead Redemption we had Red Dead Revolver is a masterpiece and I cannot wait to see more of this world.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel where we play as Arthur Morgan instead of John Marston, but a younger Marston is in the game. We all know that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be a huge game. It is going to have a truly massive open world, a story that is huge in its scale, a huge amount of weapons, tons of things to do and in general, this is one of the biggest bangs for your buck games you will get this year.
We all know Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be huge, but this is meant to be taken literally as the install size for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been revealed and it is over 100 GB! It is actually around 105 GB and this makes it one of the biggest games this console generation. Of course, there is bound to be a few updates in those first few weeks which will take it over the 105 GB size Rockstar have said.
Let me say that Red Dead Redemption 2 looks incredible and I can see why it is such a huge game. They really could not have crammed any more content into this game and I for one cannot wait to get my hands on it. Still, that is a huge chunk of HD space and I would wager that most gamers are going to have to delete at least one game in order to get this to fit.
Just imagine those folks who have not yet upgraded their PS4 or Xbox One hard drives! At 500 GB (which it is not really as the OS takes up space) nearly a quarter of the hard drive is going to be taken up by just one game. Now to be fair, Red Dead Redemption 2 has so much going on chances are whoever has this on their console is only going to be playing this for the foreseeable future!
