I never got into the Pokémon Go craze, but I can admit when I am wrong. I thought that the game would come and go before the summer ended, but while the mania has died down it still has a dedicated following.
My son is a huge Pokémon fan so any Pokémon Go hunting I did was with him. Well, it looks like I need to go visit Professor Oak and get some new Poke Balls as there is a new generation of Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon from the fourth generation are now live in Pokémon Go. The starters for this generation are Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. My son freaking loves Piplup so I am sure that is what we will be doing all this weekend! As well as the starters, players are reporting other generation 4 Pokémon have been showing up in the game such as Buneary and Starly. However, the 3rd evolutions for 4th generation Pokémon are not up and running just yet.
While Pokémon Go may not have been my cup of tea I think it was a fun experience and it is really cool that the game is still getting supported. I know that the Diamond, Pearl and Platinum games have a huge following so I would assume that some players who may have dropped off will come back to try and get some of these new Pokémon that are being added into the game.
If you are a fan of Pokémon Go I wish you all the luck in the world finding the ones you want. I know that this weekend I will be taking my son out to find the ones he wants. Hopefully, we will cross a McDonalds as we go!
