I always take leaks with a grain of salt, but there has been a lot of buzz online that the next game in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat 11 has been leaked.
There was a monster info dump on the site, 4Chan about Mortal Kombat 11. Supposedly from a guy who tested the game. A ton of info was given and some of it sounds very exciting indeed. The first thing worth noting is that supposedly this is actually going to be shown at the Game Awards later this week. So we do not have too long to wait until we find out if this is for real or not.
The “leak” says that as before Mortal Kombat 11 will have a story mode and that it will revolve around three main characters. The last two story modes have been fantastic and moving the game many years in the future in Mortal Kombat X worked out really well. This time some major names are supposedly not coming back, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Baraka, Jax, Kano, Mileena, Goro, and Ferra & Torr are listed as not coming back.
This is the longest a Mortal Kombat game has ever been in development so it is going to be interesting (again if true) what this extra development time has resulted in. This leak says that Mortal Kombat 11 is going to have an Adventure Mode. I love the sound of this! It is going to be similar to what Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks offered many years ago on the Xbox and PlayStation 2.
Of course, there is no proof that this “leak” is true, but it is something that has gotten many Mortal Kombat fans, myself included very excited. The last two games have been fantastic. They have been stacked with content, played great and have had the best story of any fighting game.
