Looking Back At BioShock Infinite

Looking Back At BioShock Infinite

I have heard a rumor that the team who brought us the BioShock collection for PS4 and Xbox One are working on some kind of BioShock VR game!

Let me tell you if there is a game that I would love to experience in VR it is BioShock Infinite. While some people could not get over the fact that the game was not set in Rapture. For me, BioShock Infinite is the best game in the BioShock series and one of my favorite games of all time.

BioShock Infinite is the third game in the series and it is a prequel. Instead of being set in the underwater city of Rapture. BioShock Infinite is set in the city of Columbia which is a floating city. While the city of Columbia and the politics that are going on there are great and interesting. It is the story of Elizabeth, the girl you are hired to go and get that really captured me.

You play as Booker DeWitt who is basically a gun for hire. He has been hired to go and get Elizabeth from Columbia. If he does this he will get the debt that he is in written off. At first, it is just a job and he is there to save his own rear end. You soon learn that there is something “off” with Elizabeth and before long you are willing to die in order to protect her.

Elizabeth is one of if not the best companion I have had in a game. She does not get in the way, you cannot accidentally shoot her and she is so well written and voice acted that you start to care about her. The dynamic of her and Booker is so well done and it has a twist and an ending that I genuinely did not see coming and it really did knock me back. This is one of those rare games that had an ending which stuck with me for a few days.

So if the rumors are true and that there is some kind of VR BioShock experience happening. I have to be honest and say that all I would want is to play through BioShock Infinite in VR as that would be amazing.
