Is There Anything New In Bayonetta 2 On Nintendo Switch?

The news that we were getting a Bayonetta 3 on the Nintendo Switch was one of the best and also most surprising pieces of news. I love Bayonetta, I played the hell out of it on the Xbox 360 as well as on the Nintendo Wii U. Actually, I would go as far to say that Bayonetta 2 is one of the best games on the Wii U.

In the coming weeks, Nintendo is releasing Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo Switch, it is also coming with Bayonetta 1. The same package that we got on the Wii U…. except on the Wii U, Bayonetta 1 came on an actual disc for the Nintendo Switch package, it is just a download code! I know we live in a world where apparently Nintendo can do no wrong, but here in the UK, Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo Switch is going to cost £50… and they cannot give you Bayonetta 1 as a physical game for that price? It is horrendously overpriced in my opinion, but as much as I love the game, I was so tempted to pre order it so I decided to see what extra content Bayonetta 2 on the Switch contains.

The main thing that seems to be getting pushed is how it is a locked 60 FPS all be it at 720P. The smooth frame rate sounds great and it should make Bayonetta 2 look and play even better, I do think that they could have gotten it up to 1080P though. This appears to be the main thing that Bayonetta 2 for Nintendo Switch is offering.

Of course, there is Amiibo support that will unlock costumes, I think the same kind of costumes that were in Bayonetta 2 on Nintendo Wii U. This is pretty good if you have a large Amiibo collection and apparently you can use an Amiibo up to 32 times a day. Hopefully, they have not taken away the ability to unlock costumes through gameplay, with how little has been changed, I doubt they will have.

So while I am very excited for Bayonetta 3 and as much as I love Bayonetta 2. I have to say that as I have this on the Wii U, Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo Switch is an easy pass for me. There is simply not enough new content added to the game for the high price that they are asking for you.

I would love to know if you guys feel that Bayonetta 2 is overpriced on the Nintendo Switch or if you feel it is good value for money.
