Could Red Dead Redemption 2 Have Its Own Battle Royale Mode?

Red Dead Redemption is without a doubt one of the biggest game releases of 2018. From what I have read the 26th of October release date is pretty set in stone and there is going to be no delay at all.

The first Red Dead Redemption is amazing. I would go as far as to say that it has one of the greatest stories ever told in a video game. From the beginning all the way to the end you are truly invested in the story of John Marston. Red Dead Redemption 2 is set before the events of the first game and I have no doubt it will be just as story driven as the first game.

While I could not be any more excited and while Rockstar is not a company to just follow what others are doing. I have been thinking, what if Red Dead Redemption 2 had a Battle Royale mode? The first Red Dead Redemption game did have an online multiplayer mode, but to be honest I could count on one hand how many times I played it.

However, a game mode where it is every lawbreaker (or lawman) for themselves in the wild west could be truly epic. Having to find supplies from small towns, raiding camps and so on to get weapons and in general just doing all you can to prove that you are the best gunslinger in the old west.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is without a doubt a game that is being sold on the strength of its story and large open world, but I think having a multiplayer mode like this would be a fun distraction. Plus look at the phenomenal success they have had with Grand Theft Auto Online! I am sure that Rockstar must have their eye on a similar kind of success with Red Dead Redemption 2.

I would love to know what you guys think about Red Dead Redemption 2 having some kind of Battle Royale mode.
