You know a few years ago, people were not too thrilled about HD remasters or Definitive Editions of games being released just a year or two later for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the Nintendo Switch seems to be doing just fine doing this kind of thing. To be fair the Wii U while having a solid library of games, did not reach a mass audience so for many people this is the first time they are getting to play some of these games.
Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Pokken, Hyrule Warriors and there is probably more that I cannot think off, off the top of my head.
I loved the Wii U and there are a couple other games that I feel should make the jump to the Nintendo Switch.
Super Mario 3D World: This is such an underrated and forgotten gem in the world of Mario Games. It had that perfect balance of being accessible to everyone, but getting all three stars and unlocking the more challenging levels was very hard. They could go the extra mile and have a compilation of this and Mario 3D Land…. Now that would be awesome.
The Legend Of Zelda Collection: This one may be a bit of a stretch, but the Nintendo Wii U certainly had the best versions of both the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. The graphical update and most importantly the changes to the gameplay made these games so much better. I personally would have no problem with these two coming to the Nintendo Switch.
I think that Nintendo has done a good job bringing many of the heavy hitters from the Nintendo Wii U to the Nintendo Switch, but these are two that I feel would be a huge success, especially Super Mario 3D World.
