I have been a fan of the Burnout series since the second game. I ignored the first and then when the sequel, Burnout 2: Point Of Impact was released, I was looking for something to play and on a whim picked it up. I was a Burnout fan from that point forward.
It feels like we have waited a decade for a new Burnout game and while this is not a brand new game, I am still really excited by this news. EA has announced that on March 16th Burnout Paradise Remastered will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While it is not a brand new game, it sounds like a lot of work has been put into this.
To start with the game is going to run at 60 fps and it will support 4K, so that right there means that I will be getting it for Xbox One as I have an X. All of the add on content that was released for Burnout Paradise on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be included on the disc. While PC owners may be mad, EA has said that Burnout Paradise Remastered will come to PC at a later date.
While Burnout Paradise was not the most popular game in the series, I and many other Burnout fans had a lot of fun with it and as it has been so long since a Burnout game was realized, I really could not be any more excited for this. Plus if this does well enough, EA might realize that this is a series people do actually care about and we very well could get a new Burnout game and this could be what kick starts the whole series!
