Is Devil May Cry 5 Slashing Up E3?

A new Devil May Cry (or DMC if you are one of the cool kids) has been rumored for a while now, but that rumor has heated up a bit today. The reason for this is that it has been revealed Capcom has registered a domain name for Devil May Cry 5.

Not that long ago, Capcom released an HD collection of the first three Devil May Cry games for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was pretty well done and from what I understand the collection sold pretty well.

Now unpopular opinion here, but I thought that the reboot of Devil May Cry (DMC) that Capcom did on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (before releasing a Definitive version on PS4 and Xbox One) was absolutely fantastic. The game was so well made, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, in particular, are incredible, the way you attack is just so much fun that you cannot wait for the next wave of enemies to come at you.

While the gameplay and presentation of DMC were great, it was the story that blew me away. I know that some people could not get over the new look of Dante and I will admit at first I wondered what the heck Capcom was doing as I had spent 4 (5 if you count Viewtiful Joe) games playing with Dante and now they had completely changed him.

Well just a short while into the reboot of DMC, I did not mind that he was not the Dante from the original Devil May Cry games. The game ended on a bit of a cliffhanger too so I have long been waiting for the story to continue, but I wonder if this new Devil May Cry game going to be a sequel to DMC or is it going to be a follow up to Devil May Cry 4?

I have to be honest and say that either way I am happy. I loved Devil May Cry 4 and as I just said I loved DMC as well so no matter what I am in. Hopefully, more news will leak about Devil May Cry 5 as it is something I am very interested in.

By the way, DMC is dirt cheap on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and I highly recommend you check it out if you love fast-paced action games.
