I have heard very mixed things about Black Ops IIII so far. I have heard some people say it is amazing and that Blackout is the best thing since sliced bread. However, I have heard others say that they hate it and it is not what they want in a COD game.
I for one love it! I have spent a lot of hours with Call of Duty Black Ops IIII already and had a great time doing so. I will say that if none of the other Call of Duty games have sucked you in. I do not see this one doing it for you either. For me though, even without the campaign. Call of Duty Black Ops IIII is one of the best games in the series.
Blackout mode is a lot of fun. I am not the biggest Battle Royale fan in the world so I am probably the wrong person to be giving insight about this. However, I have had fun with it. I love how it is balls to the wall action and even when you die early on in the game, you have a lot of fun.
Multiplayer is just as good as it has ever been. If you love the COD multiplayer then I do not see why you would not love it here. Just make sure to take the time to heal yourself as there is no auto health regeneration here. It took me quite a few times to get used to this, but once you do it becomes very natural.
One thing that I also have to mention is that Call of Duty Black Ops IIII actually offers split screen co-op! That is awesome and something that I really do wish every other first person shooter would offer. In Zombies, you can even play four player split screen.
Speaking of Zombies that is actually where I have spent most of my time. There are three Zombies maps and two of them, Voyage of Despair and Blood of the Dead are pretty damn huge, IX is not that huge, but those other two are really intense experiences. I highly suggest you do not get too far away from your teammates on those maps.
I think Call of Duty Black Ops IIII is a great game. Even at this early stage, I am sure this is going to be a game like every other Call of Duty game where I get a years’ worth of gaming out of it. Even if you just buy the standard version and decide not to get the DLC, you are getting a lot of content here.
